Interesting Links

I post these because I like sharing through communication and discussion.
I also find it handy to put them here so I remember them.

Martin Luther will insult you. Fairly humorous. May come in handy at some point.

Elements of True Reformation --Randy Alcorn's blog referencing J.I. Packer's book, "Hot Tub Religion." I want to remember these things and go back. (Needs to happen in my soul first.)

Shane Claiborne - Irresistible Revolution -- OH!!! While I DID realize, think about, ponder some of the very points what-his-face points out; I wasn't discerning enough to follow those thoughts through. I have been carried about by this...ideology. It strikes something within me. Perhaps my tendency toward hippie revolutions??
At the end of the blog:
The discerning reader will find here much cause for concern. Ultimately so much of what Claiborne teaches is utter folly, even if it does sound attractive. A review published just days before this one says it well: “His theology is an unbiblical and incoherent synthesis which might be described as popularized Christian anarchism for young, disaffected, middle-class Americans.
Oooh. Pain. Probably accurate. (But WHY is it "ULTIMATE folly"?) I am one of those who struggle with guilt concerning their middle class status. [THOUGH! I have blogged about why we/I don't need to feel that guilt in light of and as I meditated on the Psalms -- GOD is in control. -- That is also one of the (several) things that "troubled" me about his book, but I wanted to be moved by guilt. So I continued to listen.]

Selective Reduction -- I was not aware that this happens regularly when people discover that they are pregnant with more than one child. The perspective of the story is moving.
